So according to the rules, the next couplet needs to address Love also. A coupling couplet, as it were. Reply
MF asked me why “Love” can’t be spiritual, why necessarily a “coupling couplet.” I am using “Love” in the Lylesian sense, of course: http://www.dalelyles.com/blog/?p=649 and, therefore, forever linked with, if not equated with, the “sensual.” Lyles will no doubt retort that it just makes it a concupiscent couplet. Poor “Love” is getting left in the lurch. Quick, someone write a couplet and reclaim it. Reply
