L.09.6: Burning Man

As we begin to think about meeting to consider planning our First Annual Retreat, I thought we might as well look far into the future, when we finally get our act together and hit Burning Man.

First, some context:

and check out the stuff at the official site, like here.

Since it is forbidden to be merely an observer at Burning Man, what will the Lichtenbergians contribute to the Playa?  As you watch the videos, you’ll realize that the assignment is wide open: art installation, group identity, art vehicle, performance, public service, anything.

There are no limits.

10 Thoughts on “L.09.6: Burning Man

  1. I have a friend who goes to Burning Man every year. Looks like I might need a dust mask.

  2. I think I have an idea; working out details.

  3. Hmmmm. Note to self: start figuring out how to explain this to Becky.

  4. Turff, what you’re really thinking is, “How do I set up a fake, fairly tame Burning Man website, then block our computer from finding any other site?”

    I know I am.

  5. I think I’m going to do several of these. I’ve got an installation about ready to go, and I probably will do a group identity thing and perhaps a huge installation thing. When you’re not constrained by any considerations of reality, this is kind of fun.

  6. FWIW, I’ve already broached the subject with her. I think she has learned over the year that her imagination is, in fact, not as bad as the reality. IOW, I suspect she will never look it up.
