Is Minnie Pearl dead? I think she should have gotten this award for putting Dunaway Gardens on the map. It truly is the end of history.
As for Caldwell, I prefer watching Russ Meyer’s Caldwell-inspired films–Mudhoney and Lorna come to mind especially–to reading Bubba Erskin’s original redneck trash pulp novels.
