In my browser, the little play arrows are over at the right margin, forcing the titles to the next line. Is anyone else’s like that?
I added the plug-in that does the play button after doing the post. I wonder if I could fix it by reposting?

I think it’s a function of the theme for the blog; the plug-in continues to look fine over on dalelyles.com.

I am in awe and more than a little envious of Marc’s productivity and talent. I haven’t touched my music since the day I got the email from Stephen.

Productivity is no problem when you eschew notation. You have your hands full.
What’s nice about the various methods I used to put these together is that I don’t have to be accountable to music theory if I don’t feel like it. I can create in soundspace in a manner similar to work on collage or abstract expressionism or “performance art.” It’s also a relatively simple way to pretend to make “experimental theatre.”
I’ve always been an admirer of Ken Nordine’s “word jazz.” What was fun about the Molly portrait was feeling like Nordine with a “sketchpad.” The MacBook allowed me to sit down where I chose, plug in a headset with a microphone (from a gaming set-up), and then “sketch” in the moment; I could use my words, ambient sounds picked up, and sound files I had already made in a fairly immediate arrangement. As I sat with my “subject.” All I did afterwards was fine tune volume levels.

See, by posting these files on our site, I’m forced to indulge in vanity. I have to care that “Free Texture” doesn’t play. Why am I forced to care? It sucks to worry.
